England captain Stuart Broad backed the talent within his side to come good after their hopes of defending their World Twenty20 crown were ended.
A 19-run defeat by Sri Lanka saw England fail to progress to the semi-finals, with the hosts and West Indies earning places in the last four, while Broad's men and New Zealand being eliminated.
Sri Lanka are now3.50to win the tournament, with West Indies4.50.
However, Broad is adamant that England have the right young players in place to build for the future, as he said: "It's very disappointing to have gone out, because I believe we do have the firepower in that changing room to go far.
"What you get with young guys is some days absolute brilliance and other days a bit of averageness. I think, as a team, we've probably shown that.
"We've got guys here who haven't played a lot of international cricket, but as long as we learn from it, we will develop."
England's next challenge is on the sub-continent again, when they take on India in a four-Test series later this year.
