Rugby Union - Six Nations - Bet Now at Bet365
England head coach Stuart Lancaster has added David Wilson to his squad for this weekend's game against Ireland as Dan Cole has been ruled out of the rest of the Six Nations.
Leicester Tigers tight-head prop Cole has been told to take a rest from rugby so that he can relieve a bulging disc in his neck which is trapping a nerve.
The 26-year-old, who has 45 England caps, will have further specialist assessment on Tuesday evening
Lancaster is disappointed to lose Cole but is confident in Bath forward Wilson's abilities as he steps up his preparations for the game against Ireland which England can be backed at1.44to win.
"It's massively disappointing for Dan, Leicester and England but the important thing is that this has been diagnosed and that Dan gets the appropriate rest and treatment," said Lancaster.
"In the meantime, it's great to have David Wilson back, as well as Henry Thomas who has trained well and came off the bench against Scotland and this will be an opportunity to develop experience in this area."
