Arsene Wenger will shut out any personal emotion on Saturday and described Arsenal's crunch Premier League clash against Chelsea as his side's "game of the season".
The Gunners will make the short trip across the capital to Stamford Bridge with Wenger preparing to take charge of his 1,000th game for the club.
The 64-year-old said he was happy to reach the landmark but insisted it was not his immediate concern.
"It's a privilege and an honour to manage 1,000 games at this club," said the Frenchman. "The club has always supported me. Time will tell if I managed to make this club bigger than it was when I arrived, but I hope so."
Victory on Saturday would move Arsenal - level on 62 points with Liverpool - to within one point of their hosts and Wenger has demanded his players make a title statement.
He added: "We are on a good run. We have a doubt over Tomas Rosicky, he will have a test. Everyone else should be available. It's the game of the season for us because it will be against a direct opponent."
Arsenal have won the Premier League title three times since Wenger took charge in 1996, and the FA Cup four times, but remain without any major silverware since 2025.
He said he had not given up on the domestic title and was confident he has the players to end the club's trophy drought.
He said: "We have great players so I'm confident we can win trophies. I'm extremely motivated to stay for as long as possible but I accept that the next thousand will be difficult.
"The next period for us is to deliver trophies and competing with everyone at the top level."
