Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers expects Manchester City to go on and win the Premier League title after seeing his side throw away a three-goal lead at Crystal Palace.
A Reds victory at Selhurst Park would have seen them move three points clear of the Citizens at the top of the table, with City having two games to play, while Liverpool have just one.
And when Liverpool led 3-0 with 11 minutes left to play, a win looked a certainty, only for the Eagles to score three times to secure a thrilling 3-3 draw which left both Rodgers and his players devastated.
"There is no doubt Manchester City will go on and win it," Rodgers admitted.
"We needed to win to keep the pressure on going into the last game and we did not do that."
City are back in action on Wednesday evening when they pay host to Aston Villa, before they finish the campaign with another home clash against West Ham. Meanwhile, the Reds round off their season atAnfield againstNewcastle United.
The Citizens can be backed at1.14to secure victory on Wednesday and are7.00to triumph by a 3-0 scoreline, with City1.071to be crowned champions on the final day of the season.
Meanwhile, Rodgers has vowed to push on again next season even if his side are pipped to the title by the Citizens.
He added: "We have made great strides, but I am certainly here to fight and win titles and I will be relentless in that.
"This season has shown we will be capable of doing that. Next year, I believe we will make more strides forward and hopefully we will be up there challenging again."
