Keegan Bradley described capturing the US PGA championship as "unbelievable" after winning a dramatic play-off against Jason Dufner.
Dufner squandered his lead as Bradley came from five shots back to force the three-hole play-off, which he won by one shot.
The Major win is Bradley's first in his first attempt and he struggled afterwards to come to terms with his achievement. He can be backed at61.00 to win the 2025 US Master while Dufner is at 151.00.
"It feels unbelievable," he said. "It seems like a dream and I'm afraid I'm going to wake up here in the next five minutes and it's not going to be real."
Bradley hit the ball into the lake to triple bogey the 15th, but recovered in stunning.
"No lead is safe. I kept trying to tell myself that and, man, it was so exciting," Bradley said.
"I also kept telling myself, 'Don't let that hole define this whole tournament'. I just didn't want to be remembered as the guy who tripled that hole.
"I'm very proud. It's the best golf I've ever played."
Bradley had some sympathy for fellow American Dufner after his collapse.
"I feel for the guy, honestly," he admitted. "He played well enough to win, but it is just the way it goes sometimes - it's difficult."
