Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero's fine form could help his side get back in the Premier League title race according to manager Roberto Mancini.
Mancini was speaking after seeing Aguero score twice in the 4-0 FA Cup fifth round win over Leeds United, a double which took the Argentinian's tally for the season to 13 in all competitions.
"I hope Sergio will be like this until the end of the season," Mancini admitted.
"If Sergio is like this and our strikers continue to score a lot of goals from now until the end, the championship is not finished."
City, who currently trail Manchester United by 12 points in the league, are17.00to retain the title, with the Red Devils1.03.
Meanwhile, Mancini was delighted to see his side ease into the last eight of the FA Cup and set up a home tie with Barnsley in the sixth round, with the Citizens2.62to win the competition.
"Every team plays in the FA Cup like it is in a Champions League final," Mancini added. "The cup is an important trophy in England.
"Teams may change players in the Capital One Cup, but in the FA Cup every team plays seriously. You could play in a final at Wembley in front of more than 80,000 people, so that has to be good."
