Real Madrid stalwart Sergio Ramos believes that his side have the confidence needed to knock Manchester United out of the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
The Spain international defender headed a late winner in the weekend La Liga El Clasico against Barcelona, with Real having also put the Catalans to the sword in the Copa del Rey last week.
That double success has given Ramos plenty of reasons to think that Real can come out on top against United at Old Trafford, with their last-16 tie evenly poised at 1-1 after the first leg.
Ramos said: "Psychologically the team has strengthened after the Clasicos and we go to Manchester convinced we can go through. We know we can go through.
"But now, more than ever, we must keep our feet on the ground. We haven't achieved anything yet. It's two Clasicos - one of them gave us the ticket to the Spanish Cup final and the second helped us reduce the gap in La Liga.
"We still have such a long way to go, but the desire is to eliminate United at Old Trafford. But we will go to Manchester showing great respect to our opponent."
