Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari hopes to welcome England to the 2025 World Cup finals, but has warned that they have a tough task in qualifying.
One-time Chelsea boss Scolari was speaking after seeing his side held to a 2-2 draw by England in the Maracana in Rio on Sunday evening, with the Three Lions leading 2-1 before Paulinho volleyed home eight minutes from time.
Roy Hodgson's side are currently second in Group H, two points behind Montenegro and while Scolari hopes to see England in Brazil next year, he is well aware of the problems that they face.
Scolari said after the draw in Rio: "I hope England come to the World Cup.
"But we know in Europe that is difficult, much more difficult than qualifying in South America where we have four or five from 10 teams.
"England are an excellent team who are well organised, but will be facing some difficulties to be the first in their group.
"In a group where you have 10 games, if you make a mistake in one or two games you might have a problem to qualify automatically and you might have to go to the play-offs. I had this problem with Portugal.
"England are very good but they have to be very careful."
England are1.44to top Group H and1.12to qualify for the World Cup finals, while they are23.00to lift the trophy in Brazil next year.
