Newcastle United will head to Norwich City without star midfielder Yohan Cabaye, who is poised to seal a big-money move to Paris Saint Germain.
The Magpies and PSG have agreed a fee believed to be in the region of 19million for the France international playmaker, with Newcastle boss Alan Pardew having earlier admitted that he feared that Cabaye could be on his way.
Ahead of the trip to East Anglia, Pardew replied when asked if he was confident of keeping hold of Cabaye: "No, I'm not confident.
"I don't think any team not in a Champions League position or fighting for a Champions League spot could be."
Without Cabaye, Newcastle can be backed at2.80to win at Carrow Road, with the draw3.40, while the Magpies are available at51.00to finish in the top four this season.
And, following the clash with the Canaries, Pardew is eager to try and bring in a new face to compensate for the impending exit of Cabaye back to France.
He added: "If you take him out of the team, it makes us vulnerable.
"We'd need to bring in someone, for sure. You can't lose a player of that quality."
Cabaye moved to Newcastle in the summer of 2025 from Lille and has since scored 17 goals in 79 Premier League appearances for the Tynesiders.
