Tim Sherwood has urged his Tottenham side to continue picking up results against the teams around them as they chase a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.
A1-0 win at home to Evertonlifted the north Londoners up to fifth place in the standings, just three points behind Liverpool, who occupy the final Champions League qualification spot.
And Sherwood is desperate to see his team continue to pick up points against their rivals, with Spurs having also beaten Manchester United since the turn of the year.
"We keep looking at the top-four chase every weekend, thinking teams are going to drop points but they are not doing that," Sherwood said.
"Fourth place will be determined by how many points we pick up from these teams in and around us, so we made a good start of that.
"We beat Man United at Old Trafford and won today, so it's not too bad."
Next up for Tottenham is a long trip north to take on Newcastle United on Wednesday evening, with the Magpies having won just once in their last seven league games.
However, earlier this season Newcastle won 1-0 at White Hart Lane thanks to a Loic Remy strike and the hosts can be backed at12.00to triumph by a 1-0 margin again on Wednesday.
Spurs are available at9.00to win the game on Tyneside and3.50to go on and secure a top-four finish.
