Midfielder Adam Lallana is determined to try and impress for England in their friendly international against Denmark at Wembley on Wednesday evening.
The Southampton ace is one of a number of players who will be hoping to secure a place on the plane to Brazil for the World Cup finals this summer, with coach Roy Hodgson having blooded a number of younger faces in recent times.
Lallana, who has won just two caps to date, told reporters: "This is the last chance we'll have to impress, so it is going to be a big night.
"Performing for your country in a World Cup, there's nothing bigger, it's the pinnacle of a footballer's career.
"We all want to strive for greatness really. It starts this Wednesday in terms of preparation."

Meanwhile, Lallana is confident that Saints team-mate Luke Shaw will show up well if he makes his senior international bow on Wednesday.
"He's an outstanding talent and one of the best, probably the best player I've ever seen at 18," Lallana said of the left-back. "Nothing fazes him and I'm really excited to hopefully see him get some minutes on Wednesday."
