Manuel Pellegrini insists Manchester City's FA Cup exit won't dent their confidence as they seek more silverware.
City landed the Capital One Cup title earlier this month but were dumped out at the quarter-final stage of the FA Cup by Wigan on Sunday as the Latics ran out 2-1 winners at the Etihad Stadium.
City travel to Barcelona on Wednesday seeking to overturn a two goal deficit in the second-leg of their Champions League last 16 clash.
Pellegrini's side also trail Chelsea by nine points in the Premier League but they have played three gamesless and boasta vastly superior goal difference, meaning if they win their games in hand they will top the table.
The Chilean admits his side simply weren't good enough against Wigan, who also beat City in the final of last year's competition, but Pellegrin now expects a response from his players.
"We have won one trophy and we have a lot of things to fight for until the end of the season," said the City boss.
"First we must win in Barcelona on Wednesday and then try to go top of the table with our three games in hand."
"I think we played the worst first half we have done in my time here," he added.
"We did not have the pace we needed against a team with Wigan's intensity."
