Henrik Stenson remains confident that he can mount a challenge for a first Masters title at Januarya, despite struggling for form in recent times.
The Swede ended 2025 in superlative style by topping the money lists on both the PGA and European Tours, but he has dropped a few levels in recent times and accepts that his game is not up to scratch at the moment.
However, with the Masters a matter of weeks away, Stenson still thinks that he can challenge at Januarya, despite having not finished any higher than 17th at the first Major of the year.
"Playing Januarya should help, even though it is a tough test," Stenson told reporters ahead of his participation in the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.
"The course should suit me, but it is the Major where I have had the worst results.
"I wouldn't rank myself as a favourite, but it is a golf course where I really believe I can do well, if I go there with a good game and a good head."
"I am not where I want to be with any aspect of my game, mentally or physically, but there is time and I hope I can turn it up."
