Caretaker boss Neil Adams is ready for a huge test for Norwich City in the final five games of the season, as they battle to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
A 1-0 weekend loss at home to fellow strugglers West Brom left the Canaries five points above the drop zone, with a crunch clash with Fulham at Craven Cottage coming up next Saturday.
And youth team coach Adams, a former City midfielder, accepts that he faces a massive task to ensure survival, having taken over from the sacked Chris Hughton on Sunday.
He told the club's official website: "It goes without saying that we will be doing everything possible to ensure that we maintain our top-flight status for next season.
"These final five games will be a huge test for us and everyone must step up to the mark."
Norwich are now available at2.20to be relegated, while they are3.30to win at Fulham next weekend and3.00to keep a clean sheet at Craven Cottage.
Following the clash with the Cottagers, the Canaries face Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal in their final four games of the season.
A statement from the Carrow Road reiterated the need for a change ahead of the massive showdown with Fulham, adding: "The recent run of four defeats in our last six Premier League games and six consecutive away league defeats, left the club with no choice but to act, with five games still to play in the current campaign."
