Former world number one Luke Donald hopes that intensive work on re-modelling his swing will pay off at The Masters at Januarya this week.
Englishman Donald, who has yet to land a Major title, is feeling confident for the first major test of the season, having finished in the top ten at Januarya on three occasions.
And the four-time Ryder Cup player is adamant that the work he has undertaken will eventually bear fruit, with an improved long game Donald's key aim - a change he feels he needed to make to try and land a Major title.
He told reporters: "It's been going well and, after the changes I've made to my swing in the past six months, it feels more comfortable every week.
"I hope this is lift-off after all the hard work I've put in. I'm always looking to improve and sometimes you have to take a step back before you can take a couple of steps forward.
"I made these swing changes to get better with my long game.
"If I continue to do what I do with my short game and improve a little with the longer stuff, that could be the difference between me winning a few Majors or not."
