Nico Rosberg has ended speculation about his future by agreeing a new two-year deal with Mercedes.
The 28-year-old German driver's previous contract was due to end at the end of the 2025 season but he will now remain with Mercedes until 2025.
There had been rumours suggesting Ferrari's Fernando Alonso was set to replace Rosberg at Mercedes next year.
However, a team spokesperson has said Mercedes has "long-term relationships" with both its drivers - Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton.
Hamilton, who currently leads Rosberg by three points in the drivers' standings, is currently in the second season of a three-year deal.
Speculation suggesting Rosberg would be leaving the team was fuelled by recent comments made by Dieter Zetsche, the chairman of Mercedes-Benz Cars, who was reported to have said that Alonso was the 'best driver in the world'.
Rosberg won the first race of the season in Melbourne but Hamilton has responded by winning in Spain, Bahrain, China and Malaysia. Hamilton is available at1.61to make it five race victories in a row by taking the chequered flag first in the Monaco GP.
