Roberto Mancini says he needs more options in midfield after seeing his Manchester City side surrender a 2-0 lead at Fulham on Sunday.
City, who are now5/2to win the Premier League title, had seemed on course for a fifth straight win after a double from Sergio Aguero but second-half strikes from Bobby Zamora and Danny Murphy sealed a memorable comeback for the London side.
And Mancini bemoaned what he described as a lack of midfielders, with the draw coming days after City shared the points with Napoli in the Champions League, despite the club's huge spending in the last few years.
"We are lacking at this moment because we lost two midfielders," said the Italian.
"I don't have players at the moment. I can only change the full-backs. I have only two midfielders, because James (Milner) and (Nigel) De Jong have injuries."
The City boss was also unhappy to see his usually reliable attackers waste numerous chances to seal a win.
He added: "We had the same problem against Wigan at home. We had 15 chances in the first half and we scored only one goal.
"It doesn't always go well if you don't score, if you don't close the game."
