Andre Villas-Boas says Chelsea's Champions League qualification is still in their own hands, despite losing in stoppage time to Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday evening.

The Blues boss accepts responsibility for the club's poor run of form which has now seen them lose four of their last seven matches. They took the lead in Germany through Didier Drogba but lost the game 2-1 with Manuel Friedrich heading the winner for Leverkusen in injury-time. They must now win at home or keep a clean sheet against Valencia at Stamford Bridge if they are to progress.

However, Villas-Boas insists he is confident his side, who are at20/1to win the Champions League, will go through.

"It's a game at home and we expect to do our job," he said.

"That's our responsibility and we don't want to let the fans down. We will need Stamford Bridge completely behind us."

Wednesday's loss followed Sunday's home defeat to Liverpool which left Chelsea 12 points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City, and Villas-Boas admits he must now inspire his players to reverse a worrying slump. They can be backed at13/2to defeat Wolves 3-0 on Saturday and are5/6to keep a clean sheet.

"That's my job. That's my task, to inspire these people and motivate these people to change our faith," said the Portuguese.

"The responsibility is mine and it's my task now to inspire and motivate them to take them to a win against Wolves and certainly after to a win against Liverpool in the Carling Cup.

"We have two games at home. We need to get the focus, concentration right, I have to inspire my players and motivate them, and we need our fans behind us in these critical moments."
