Thierry Henry says he hopes he can enhance his legendary status at Arsenal further after scoring the winner on his return to action against Leeds United.
The 34-year-old completed his short-term switch from the New York Red Bulls on Friday and started on the bench in the FA cup third round encounter.
Having watched Arsenal toil for well over an hour against the organised Championship outfit, manager Arsene Wenger threw Henry on to find a winner.
The Frenchman duly obliged with just his fifth touch of the game to send the Emirates Stadium into raptures and make sure Arsenal went through to the fourth round of the cup, where they will meet Aston Villa.
Henry?s six week loan period will see him face the likes of Manchester United, AC Milan and potentially even Tottenham.
Having made a dream return to his beloved Arsenal, Henry is now looking to bag more goals after the club?s all-time leading scorer grabbed his 227th for the Gunners.
"I never thought I was going to play for Arsenal again or score a winner," Henry said.
"I love the club and I hope I can do more.
"I hope it won't be the last one. The feeling I had when I scored was amazing."
Wenger has hinted Henry is likely to feature against Swansea City this weekend at the Liberty Stadium, claiming he could even play alongside top scorer Robin van Persie.
