Everton have completed the signing of Manchester United midfielder Darron Gibson for an undisclosed fee on a four-and-a-half-year contract.
The 24-year-old Republic of Ireland international had slipped down the pecking order at Old Trafford and has been allowed to head to Goodison Park, with Gibson in contention to debut for the Toffees at Aston Villa on Saturday.
Everton, who have suffered defeats in their last two Premier League outings, are3.00 to triumph in the Midlands and8.50 to win by a 1-0 margin.
However, they are likely to be without central defender Sylvain Distin due to a hamstring strain, with fellow stopper Phil Jagielka already sidelined by a knee problem.
The addition of Gibson is David Moyes' second move into the transfer market since the turn of the year, with LA Galaxy's Landon Donovan back at the club for a second loan spell.
Donovan is7/2 to outscore Villa loan signing Robbie Keane this weekend, following both men's arrivals from the MLS.
Meanwhile, Gibson will help fill the gap left by Mikel Arteta's move to Arsenal earlier this season, with the Irishman looking forward to a new challenge with Everton.
"I am looking forward to the challenge and I think it was the right time for me to move on from Manchester United," Gibson said after completing his move.
Everton are currently 11th in the Premier League table and seemingly well clear of the relegation dogfight, while they are21.00 to win the FA Cup, having been drawn at home to Fulham in the fourth round.
