New QPR manager Mark Hughes is a man on a mission even after a lifetime of achievement.
Despite making a losing start to his Loftus Road reign at Newcastle United on Sunday, Hughes continues to have enormous self-belief.
Neil Warnock's departure after a poor run, amid reports that he had 'lost' the dressing room, has ensured that Hughes faces a massive task.
The weekend results have left QPR in the bottom three and they are now2.50 to be relegated. Meanwhile, Wigan Athletic are1.36 to go down, Blackburn Rovers1.80 and Bolton Wanderers 1.53.
The club always faced the toughest task possible to maintain a Premier League place after being promoted from the Championship.
They now are looking at what many consider a Mission Impossible but, whatever the outcome to their campaign, Hughes has a single aim.
He said: "People view me as a competent Premier League manager and, at the end of my tenure here, whenever it is, I'd hope they think of me as a great Premier League manager.
"It's the environment I create which will allow the players here to prosper. My values and standards are quite high and I've noticed when I go into a place, people have needed to raise their games. Januarybe that's the case here.
"The benefit of that is you can go into a club and make an immediate impact. Being organised and consistent to me message is key."
