Alex McLeish has called on the FA to investigate an alleged elbow from Arsenal's Robin van Persie during the Gunners' FA Cup win over Aston Villa on Sunday.
Arsenal came back from 2-0 down at half-time to secure a 3-2 win, with three goals in a frantic seven minutes.
Villa went ahead through Richard Dunne and Darren Bent but Arsenal booked their spot in the last 16 thanks to a Theo Walcott goal and two van Persie penalties.
However, the Villa boss felt van Persie caught defender Carols Cuellar with his elbow as they jumped for the ball together in the 64th minute, when the Gunners had already taken a 3-2 lead.
"It was a clear elbow. Would I like the FA to look at it? Yes," said McLeish. "Look at my nose, it is a result of elbows all my career. It is something which is dangerous.
"But the referee did not seem to think there was anything in it. I never mentioned it to the referee. I saw it in real time. I don't like to point the finger at players, but it has happened to mine enough times."
If referee Mike Jones witnessed the incident at the time then no retrospective action can be taken. However, if Jones didn't see the alleged elbow on Cuellar, the FA could impose a retrospective ban if they wish.
Arsenal, who are6.00to secure FA Cup glory, travel to either Sunderland or Middlesbrough in the last 16, with the tie to be played on either 18th or 19th February.
