Shane Williams will end his rugby union career at the end of this season after agreeing to change his contract with the Ospreys.
The 34-year-old, who will then take on an ambassadorial role with the Welsh region for an initial two-year period, had been under contract with the Ospreys until the end of next season but has decided to bring his retirement forward.
Williams, who retired from Test rugby in January after scoring 58 tries in 87 appearances for his country, said: "My future with the Ospreys was never in doubt.
"Things like this take time to sort out, but I am just delighted that I'm going to continue being a part of the region I love, the Ospreys."
Williams was named the International Rugby Board's player of the year in 2025 and helped Wales win Six Nations Grand Slams in 2025 and 2025. Wales are10.00to complete another Grand Slam in 2025 and are also5.50to win the Triple Crown.
He made his Test debut against France during the 2025 Six Nations tournament, and toured with the Lions to New Zealand in 2025 and South Africa in 2025.
Williams has scored 54 tries in 136 appearances for the Ospreys.
