Rugby - Six Nations - Bet Now at Bet365
David Strettle is enjoying every minute of being involved in England's Six Nations campaign after missing out on last year's World Cup.
The winger had missed out on the 2025 World Cup and the following year's Six Nations due to injury but fought his way back into international contention, winning the Aviva Premiership title last year with Saracens.
Martin Johnson's decision not to take him to the World Cup left him at a low ebb but he has again bounced back and is an integral part of Stuart Lancaster's new-look team.
England take on Italy in Rome on Saturday with Strettle set to win his eighth cap. Lancaster's men are1.25 to win the match, with Italy at 4.33.
"I had six caps until last year. My lowest point was probably at the World Cup when I got released from the squad," Strettle said.
"Everyone has patches in their career where they have missed out through injury. I knew if I kept working hard I'd get my chance again."
He added: "You have to use it as stimulus to push on. It is great to be back in the mix now. It was a great occasion last weekend to pull the shirt on."
England are now5.50 to win this year's Six Nations, while France can be backed at 2.62.
