Former Wasps star Danny Cipriani has signed a three-year deal with Premiership side Sale Sharks after deciding to call time on his stay Down Under.
The former England fly-half will return to the Aviva Premiership after two years in Australia with Melbourne Rebels.
The 24-year-old won the last of his seven England caps in 2025 and Cipriani is hoping a move back to England will help him break back into the national side.
"I am going to be playing for Sale Sharks," Cipriani tweeted. "I am looking forward to playing with the likes of Andy Powell and Mark Cueto."
The Sharks, who have also picked up Scotland lock Richie Gray ahead of next season, are delighted to have secured Cipriani's services.
Sale chief executive Steve Diamond revealed a number of sides had been keen on Cipriani but the Sharks managed to win the race for his signature.
"He feels Sale give him the best opportunity to fulfil his aspirations to be England's number one fly-half," said Diamond.
"Danny has been targeted by many European clubs but has chosen to be based in Manchester."
Sale are200/1to win the Aviva Premiership Grand Final this season, while Leicester Tigers can be backed at9/4.
