Blackburn keeper Paul Robinson insists his side can take a massive step towards safety by picking up the next six points available.
The Rovers host Sunderland on Tuesday night and travel to Bolton at the weekend, although there is still some doubt as to whether or not the tie at the Reebok Stadium will be postponed.
Blackburn are11/8to take all three points on Tuesday, Sunderland can be backed at2/1and the draw is23/10.
Just three points separate the bottom five, with Blackburn on 25 points, Bolton on 23 and QPR, Wolves and Wigan all on 22.
Robinson feels now is the time for the Ewood Park outfit to find their form and has his sights set on wins in the next two games to push clear of the drop zone.
"We've got two very winnable games coming up and we'll be looking to get six points," explained Robinson.
"Six points at this stage of the season, given the position we are in, would be a massive achievement.
"There are five teams down there at the moment and it looks like it'll be three from five.
"We are sitting at the top of the five and we've got to make sure that it stays that way."
Blackburn boss Steve Kean has a virtually fully-fit squad at his disposal ahead of Sunderland?s visit, with Vince Grella the only absentee. The visitors will be without suspended duo Stephane Sessegnon and Lee Cattermole, while Kieran Richardson misses out with a calf problem.
