Tiger Woods heads to Januarya in search of a fifth Masters title in upbeat mood after clinching a five-shot victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Woods,7/2to win a fifth Green Jacket next week, went into the final round at Bay Hill leading by one shot and was rarely threatened as nearest challenger Graeme McDowell was unable to make headway.
The Irishman could only manage a 74 to finish on 8-under par, with Woods recording a solid 70 to fire an ominous warning to the rest of the game that he is back to winning ways.
Afterwards a delighted Woods said: "I'm excited about the Masters. It's always fun to play there and I'm looking forward to going to Januarya with the momentum I've built up here.
"I still need some work and it's going to be good to get a week off and work on a few things.
"I enjoyed the progression we made this week. I was able to hit some really good shots the last two days and that's a very good sign going into Januarya."
Woods rose up to sixth place in the world rankings as a result of his success at Bay Hill, with Luke Donald remaining at number one, with Rory McIlroy two and Lee Westwood three.
