Roberto Mancini says there will still be plenty of positives to take from this season even if Manchester City fail to win silverware.
City seemed on course to win the Premier League title after conquering all before them earlier in the campaign but have slipped five points behind rivals United going into the Easter weekend. They are now9/2to win the league, while United are at1/7.
Mancini's men take on Arsenal on Sunday aiming to get back to winning ways after a thrilling 3-3 draw with Sunderland last time out. They are10/1 to win 2-1, while a goalless draw can be backed at12/1.
And the Italian insists his side are going in the right direction and will learn from their mistakes this term.
"I can say that I am proud of what the players have done in this championship," said the City boss.
"We were on the top for a long time, we have fought with Manchester Uniteduntil now and I think we have improved as a team in the Premier League.
"We also got 10 points in the Champions League which is normally enough to qualify.
"Maybe we made some mistakes in the Europa League, but I think we have improved a lot as a team."
