Jose Mourinho has admitted he is hoping former side Chelsea can defeat Bayern Munich and lift the Champions League trophy.
The Real Madrid manager, who had been bidding to win the tournament with a third different club, saw his side knocked out at the semi-final stage by Munich following a tense penalty shoot-out at the Bernabeu.
And the Portuguese is now backing Chelsea to build on their incredible semi-final victory over Barcelona and upset the odds on Munich's home ground. Roberto Di Matteo's men are 4/1to win the final, while Bayern are at8/11to triumph. Fernando Torres can be backed at9/1to score first.
"People who criticise them (Chelsea) know nothing about character, effort and how a team with 10 men can resist physically, mentally and tactically. It reminded me of my own Inter Milan team two years ago," said Mourinho.
"The Chelsea fans are fantastic, as are the German fans so I hope they enjoy it and it is a great final, but I hope Chelsea win."
Mourinho, who is on course to win La Liga with Real, revealed he is hoping to stay on at the club despite missing out on another European final.
He added: "I want to win this title with this team. Reaching two semi-finals is not bad but of course we want more and my feelings are that the group still has room for growth."
