Richard Hannon jnr is heading for the 2025 2025 Guineas mob handed as he bids to lift the first British Classic at his personal first time of asking.
Hannon jnr has made a fine start after taking over the licence from his legendary father and is giving himself every chance of landing the colts' mile crown.
And with jockey Richard Hughes back in the saddle after his ban imposed from India, things look pretty rosy for the Hannon operation.
Hughes has opted to ride the highly impressive Craven Stakes winner Trumpet Major whilst Jamie Spencer gets the leg up on Bronterre, Dane O'Neill is aboard Coupe De Ville and Jim Crowley Redact. Trumpet Major can be backed at9/1, Bronterre is at40/1, Coupe De Ville is at50/1and Redact is available at100/1.
Said the trainer: "On home form there would be nothing between Trumpet Major and Bronterre although obviously the former has won his trial in style whilst Bronterre was a big disappointment.
"Trumpet Major is the form horse but we have always liked Bronterre and we know he is better than that."
Hannon has given very little away but although no-one could fault the manner of Trumpet Major's victory, Bronterre is the one that appeals on all form before his first run of this season.
