Joleon Lescott will look to 'get one over' his Manchester City defensive partner Vincent Kompany when England face Belgium at Wembley this weekend.
The pair were the absolute cornerstone of the club's first title success in 44 years this term, ensuring Roberto Mancini's outfit finished with the best defensive record in the Premier League for a second successive season.
England are1.44to win Saturday's friendly international while Belgium can be backed at8.00to win at Wembley.
Lescott has been content to live in the shadow of City skipper Kompany, who is now regarded as one of the best central defenders in European football.
But the former Everton and Wolves defender has certainly come into his own over the last 12 months - for both club and country - and was arguably England's star man during the weekend 1-0 friendly win over Norway in Oslo.
The preparations now continue against Kompany's Belgium, and Lescott insists Roy Hodgson's squad need to continue building the momentum ahead of next month's European Championship finals in Poland and Ukraine.
Lescott insists: "As a building block towards the Euros, the Norway game was a very good exercise. Obviously, it is still early days with the new manager and the new staff set-up so I think people need to practice what they've been trying to work on in training.
"It was important to get a win to build confidence and hopefully we can do that as well against Belgium."
