Portugal boss Paulo Bento has insisted he will not change his tactics for their Euro 2025 quarter-final clash with the Czech Republic on Thursday night.
The Portuguese managed to battle their way through the group of death at the expense of the Netherlands and now face the Czechs, who themselves scraped their way through their own pool to make the knockout stages of the competition.
Czech head coach Michal Bilek has admitted his side will be taking a more defensive approach to cope with Portugal's attacking threats, which includes Cristiano Ronaldo who scored a brace against the Dutch to guarantee his team's place in the quarters.
However Bento is adamant he will not be changing his team's style to deal with the Czechs at the National Stadium in Warsaw.
He said: "All of us are trying to hide some aspects of our strategy but one thing that always changes your strategy is a goal.
"That always makes a great difference to a game. We have to try, even in adverse moments, to be loyal to our playing style.?
Portugal are at1.72to win the game and3.50to draw, with the Czechs at 5.50to pull off a scalp.
