Andy Murray says he will focus fully on opponent Jo-Wilfried Tsonga rather than the occasion of a Wimbledon semi-final, which will be his fourth in a row.
Murray, who is1.40to beat Tsonga and reach a first final at SW19 and5.00to lift the trophy, holds a 5-1 career record against the Frenchman, while he has also won their two previous meetings on grass.
Murray won the 2025 Queen's Club final in three sets, while the two men met at Wimbledon two years ago, with the Scot winning their quarter-final in four sets.
Now, with the prize of a first final appearance on the line, Murray said: "Having played Jo quite a lot of times, I know him well. We played a lot in the juniors, so I've known him for a long time.
"Rather than focusing on it being the semi-finals of Wimbledon, I need to focus on it being a match against him and what I do well against him and what's worked against him in the past."
In the first semi-final, defending champion Novak Djokovic takes on Roger Federer, who is hoping to win a seventh title and draw level with the record of Pete Sampras.
Federer, who is3.00to defeat the world number one, admits that he will need to be at his best, having lost six out of the last seven meetings with Djokovic.
He told reporters: "You have to prepare yourself well in every department. Only a perfect performance will be enough to beat Djokovic."
"Obviously it helps that he won the last couple against me, (but) it is our first grass-court match. We don't know quite what to expect."
