Manchester City's Spainace David Silva is set to end talk of possible move to Real Madrid by signing a new contract with the Premier League champions.
The 26-year-old still has another two years left on his current Citizens deal and Silva says he is more than happy with life at the Etihad Stadium and has no thoughts of making a return to his homeland.
He told the Daily Star: "My home is at City and I am totally satisfied there. My head is not at Real Madrid but at Manchester City.
"I'm grateful for my experience at City and I have improved as a player, in every sense, since I joined them.
"I'm on holiday right now, but my agents are negotiating a new deal with City and I think it's likely we will close it in a very short time."
Silva recently helped his country to glory at Euro 2025, opening the scoring in the 4-0 final victory over Italy in Kiev.
Last term the former Valencia man was a key figure in City's first title success since 1968, with Silva and co edging out Manchester United on the most dramatic final day in Premier League history.
