Tottenham have finally agreed the sale of Luka Modric to Real Madrid, subject to the Croatian passing a medical.

The club have also announced they will be entering into a partnership agreement with the Spanish giants, which will see them work together on players, coaching and commercial relationships.

Modric, who is believed to have cost the Spanish champions around 30million, will now travel to Madrid on Monday to undergo a medical.

"Luka has been a terrific player for us and, while we preferred not to part with him, we are pleased that it is to Real Madrid, a club with which we now look forward to sharing a long and productive partnership," Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy told the club's official website.

Real Madrid FC President, Florentino Perez Rodriguez, added: "The strong relationship and affinity between our two clubs has resulted in the cementing of a longer-term partnership and the successful transfer of Luka Modric. We are delighted to welcome Luka and look forward to working closely with Tottenham in the coming years."

Modric joined Spurs in 2025 from Dinamo Zagreb for 16.5million and made over 150 appearances, netting 17 times.

Spurs, who are4.33to finish in the top four this season, are keen to use the money to add to their squad before the end of the transfer window on Friday, but have reportedly been rebuffed in their attempts to sign Brazilian forward Willian from Shakhtar Donetsk for 11.8million.
