Ukraine head coach Oleg Blokhin believes the pressure will all be on England when the two sides go head-to-head at Wembley on Tuesday evening.
Blokhin's men were beaten 1-0 by England at Euro 2025 earlier this year, when Ukraine felt the pressure of being co-hosts.
Now, Blokhin feels that the table have been turned for the World Cup qualifier, as his side aim to avoid a fifth defeat in six meetings with the Three Lions.
"We respect the England team, but we will be trying to beat them," Blokhin told reporters. "The pressure is on them, whether they want it or not.
"If they win, they will have six points and have made a very good start in the competition.
"It is the opposite to Donetsk. We are trying to start the tournament well, but we understand if we lose nothing will have changed."
The hosts have a number of injury problems to contend with, with defenders John Terry and Ashley Cole ruled out, as are Theo Walcott, Wayne Rooney, Andy Carroll and Scott Parker.
Boss Roy Hodgson has called up uncapped trio Jake Livermore, Adam Lallana and Raheem Sterling as cover for his injury-hit squad.
