Stuart Broad is focused on starting the World Twenty20 tournament well after helping England win the third ODI international against South Africa by 28 runs.
England are the holders of the competition and will be looking to retain their title in Sri Lanka, even though they will be without the 2010 man of the tournament Kevin Pietersen.
England beat the Proteas at Edgbaston in a match shortened to 11 overs per side by rain. They scored an impressive total of 118-5 thanks to Craig Kieswetter's 50 and Jos Buttler's unbeaten 32 from only 10 balls.
One Wayne Parnell over went for 32 runs, and when the shell-shocked South Africans replied, they were restricted to just 90-5.
The result meant that the T20 series was drawn 1-1 after Monday's game at Old Trafford had to be abandoned because of the bad weather.
After the comprehensive win at Edgbaston, England captain Broad said: "Going to Sri Lanka, we have to have all our focus on making sure we start that tournament well to gain momentum.
"Craig Kieswetter helped set the victory up but Jos Buttler was the difference between the sides with his clear mind and touch over the top. It's a great example for all players - his first option was to hit the ball straight and hard. This win bodes well for England for the World Twenty20."
England will play warm-up matches against Pakistan and Australia before their first group game against Afghanistan on 21st January.
