Sir Alex Ferguson is confident that his Manchester United side will have learned valuable lessons from their narrow 1-0 Champions League victory over Galatasaray.
An early Michael Carrick goal gave the Red Devils a valuable win, but United were forced to hold on towards the end at Old Trafford, although Ferguson was pleased with a strong defensive performance.
United have now kept clean sheets in their last two games, having previously shipped seven in their opening three fixtures of the new campaign.
A content Ferguson told Sky Sports: "In the first half we gave the ball away and they counter-attacked well from that. I think there was a lack of concentration at times.
"In the second half we did much better in that respect. I was pleased with the second half - it was more solid, we had better concentration and we saw it out really well.
"They never made any chances and all the chances fell to us - we could have scored four or five in the second half."
