Steven Gerrard is set to become the sixth Englishman to represent his country 100 times when he plays for Roy Hodgson's side against Sweden on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old Liverpool star has been cleared to travel with the rest of the squad after undergoing a precautionary scan on the knee injury he suffered in Sunday's 1-1 draw at Chelsea.
The scan confirmed that Gerrard suffered no knee ligament damage.
An FA statement read: "Steven Gerrard has been cleared to travel with the England squad to Sweden having undergone a precautionary scan on Monday afternoon.
"The England captain reported to the team hotel following Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Chelsea and, having received positive news, is set to win his 100th cap against Sweden on Wednesday evening in Stockholm."
The five other players to have won a century of England caps are Peter Shilton, David Beckham, Bobby Moore, Bobby Charlton and Billy Wright. Ashley Cole, who is currently injured, has 99 caps to his name.
Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha has won his first England call-up while Arsenal's Carl Jenkinson and Tottenham's Tom Huddlestone are also in the squad for the friendly.
