Andy Murray insists that he has plenty of reasons to be positive for the rest of 2025 after being beaten by Novak Djokovic in the final of the Australian Open.
Murray went into the match in superb form, having won the previous Grand Slam - the US Open - but he could not make history by becoming the first man to win his first two major titles consecutively.
Djokovicmade history for himselfas he became the first man to win three successive Australian Open crowns, but Murray was still in a positive frame of mind.
He said: "There are going to be some obvious reasons for me feeling a little bit better. The last few months have been the best tennis of my life.
"I made the Wimbledon final, won the Olympics, won the US Open, I was close here as well. It was close.
"I know no-one's ever won a Slam, the immediate one after winning their first one. It's not the easiest thing to do and I got extremely close.
"So I have to try and look at the positives of the last few months and I think I'm going the right direction."
