Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has urged his side to use Chelsea as their inspiration when they take on Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The Gunners' last hope of silverware rests in Europe after they crashed out of the FA Cup at home to Blackburn Rovers at the weekend and Wilshere has looked to the example set by the Blues last season.
He told reporters: "Chelsea are an inspiration for everyone. They weren't having a good season and, okay, they got a bit lucky in some games.
"But they showed great character and we need to do that. We need to come together as a team. We have good leaders here, a good team atmosphere. That will help us.
"We have a good bunch of lads in the dressing room. They're winners as well, the likes of Lukas Podolski and Mikel Arteta. They want to win.
"We know what Bayern are capable of, they have a great team. We have beaten big European teams here before, so now we need to do it again."
The Gunners have the advantage of playing on home turf at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening and are3.80to win the game,4.50to keep a clean sheet and3.75to reach the last eight at the expense of Bayern.
The last time the two sides met in North London in March 2025 a Thierry Henry goal gave the home side a 1-0 win, but Bayern progressed to the quarter-finals 3-2 on aggregate.
