Barry Geraghty is looking for more joy in today's World Hurdle after Sprinter Sacre raced to one of the greatest demolition jobs ever seen at the Cheltenham Festival.
The race appears to be as wide open asit has beenin recent years given the absence of the mighty Big Bucks, but thatGeraghty believes has allowed Oscar Whisky in with a big chance.
Oscar Whisky is5.00to win the World Hurdle, with Solwhit11.00and Wonderful Charm12.00.
Geraghtybelieves the ground will suitOscar Whiskyfine and says he'll have no trouble getting three miles, despite a dismal run last time over two and a half, whilst admitting they still haven't got to the bottom of that run.
Blogging at At The Races Geraghty says: "He's really pleased me in his recent performances at Seven Barrows - worked and schooled well, so there's no question that I'm very keen on his chances."
Despite disappointing in his two runs this campaign he also believes Riverside Theatre can defend the crown he won in last season's Ryanair Chase.
He explains the horse was found to be suffering stomach ulcers after the King George at Kempton and added: "That is extremely debilitating for anyone, let alone a racehorse and it's just possible he was feeling them a year ago."
He revealed that after treatment he's looked to be "on top of his game at Seven Barrows" having "schooled very sharply and looks well in himself".
