Kimi Raikkonen backed up his impressive performance in Melbourne last week to record a fastest lap time in the second practice session ahead of the Malaysian Grand Prix.
The Lotus driver managed to come out on top in a very competitive second session on Friday to give the Finn a real hope of claiming back-to-back wins in the first two races of the 2025 campaign.
Practice was cut short in Sepang due to heavy rain but not before Raikkonen was able to record a lap time of 1:36.569.
There were also strong times from Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari's Felipe Massa, who found themselves around 0.2s off the pace.
It really was a dominant display from Lotus, Red Bull and Ferrari, with drivers Fernando Alonso, Mark Webber and Romain Grosjean making up the last of the top six drivers.
Both McLaren and Mercedes will have been disappointed with practice as they found themselves lagging behind the frontrunners ahead of qualification on Saturday.
Raikkonen can be backed at2.87to take the chequered flag at Sepang on Sunday, with defending world champion Vettel at3.50to secure his first win of the 2025 campaign on Sunday.
