Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain says Arsenal will not give up their place in the top four of the Premier League without a fight.
The Gunners moved up to third in the table thanks to a 3-1 win over Norwich on Saturday at the Emirates, scoring three late goals after the visitors had taken the lead.
The victory leaves them a point ahead of Chelsea and Tottenham, who now sit in fifth place. Ominously, Arsenal have won eight of their last 10 league games, and are1.28to finish in the top four while Spurs are2.50.
The run is reminiscent of the side's late surge last season, when they leapfrogged Spurs on the last day of the season to finish in third place.
"That helps to know that we did it last season and we managed to squeeze in last season for the Champions League in the way that we did," said the midfielder.
"Previous experiences can help you and contribute in the way that you feel in the season afterwards. The fact that we did it last season definitely helps our confidence to do it again this season."
Arsenal will look to cement their top-four place when they take on Everton on Tuesday evening at the Emirates, although the Toffees are just four points behind them and have their own European ambitions. A 2-1 win for Arsenal can be backed at8.50, while a 2-2 draw is at13.00.
Oxlade-Chamberlain added: "We have to focus on each game as it comes and Everton is another big one for us, another good opportunity for us to stamp our authority."
