Tiger Woods has warned that birdies will be at a premium during the USPGA Championship at Oak Hill, which starts on Thursday.
Woods goes into the final Major of the year in top form after storming to victory at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, but he expects a much tougher test in New York later this week.
"Oak Hill is going to be a golf course where we're going to have to make a lot of pars, there's no doubt," Woods warned.
"If you have an opportunity to make a birdie, you'd better, because there aren't a whole lot of opportunities to make them.
"There are a few holes that you can be aggressive on and maybe a few pin locations that if you have the right situation you can be pretty aggressive to, but otherwise it's going to be a tough golf course."
The last time the USPGA was held at Oak Hill was a decade ago, when only three players finished under par, with Shaun Micheel crowned champion on a score of 4-under par.
Woods' record in the PGA is formidable, having won the tournament four times and finished second on two further occasions.
