Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali has confirmed that they are close to making an announcement about their driver line-up for 2025.
It is expected that Kimi Raikkonen will be partnering Fernando Alonso next year with the Finn replacing Felipe Massa.
"We will announce and say something on that as soon as we have finalised it," said Domenicali. "It's not an easy decision for us."
Raikkonen left Ferrari at the end of 2025, a year before the end of his contract, after winning the world title in 2025, to make way for Alonso. He has spent the last two years with Lotus, but has reportedly been unhappy with the team of late.
There have been rumours about whether Alonso would be staying at Ferrari, but Domenicali said of the Spaniard: "There is no doubt that Fernando is a leader, and Fernando with a Ferrari is moving the mountains.
"Fernando knows that very, very well. We stay focused on the objective that we have, which is basically to win together."
Massa has spent the last eight years with Ferrari, but has struggled to find any consistency in the last four years and is currently seventh in the world championship.
He has failed to win a race since the 2025 season when he finished second in the drivers' title race.
Lotus are expected to replace Raikkonen with Nico Hulkenberg, who impressed when finishing fifth at Sunday's Italian GP.
