Michael Carberry hopes his knowledge of the Rose Bowl will help him to enjoy more success in the final one-day international of the summer between England and Australia.
The Hampshire opener endured a difficult start to the series before making an impressive 63 in the fourth ODI at Cardiff on Saturday, an innings which helped England win the match and level the series at 1-1.
"There have been so many people at Hampshire who have supported my career, and have always shouted my name in terms of playing for England," said Carberry.
"If I can get runs in front of my home crowd, and I hope we can win, it will be a nice way to pay them back."
England can be backed at2.10to win the fifth ODI in Southampton on Monday while the Baggy Greens are available at1.72to come out on top.
Carberry, who is available at5.00to be England's top batsman in the fifth ODI, said of his innings in Cardiff: "I was pleased I got myself in and got a few runs in a winning cause."
Meanwhile, Michael Clarke is a doubt for the game as the Australia captain has a recurrence of a back injury.
The tourists are already without Shaun Marsh, who has a hamstring injury. He is expected to be replaced by Phil Hughes.
