Jose Mourinho remains confident that Chelsea will qualify from their Champions League group, despite opening up with a 2-1 home loss to FC Basel.
The Blues had been widely expected to get off to winning start at Stamford Bridge, but the Swiss champions came from behind to clinch a shock victory which leaves Mourinho's men with work to do to reach the knockout phase.
The other game in Group E saw Schalke ease to a 3-0 home win against Steaua Bucharest and Mourinho is keenly aware that his side now have to impress against those two teams - with Chelsea now15.00to win the Champions League.
Next up for the Blues in Europe is a trip to Bucharest in two weeks' time, with Chelsea having beaten Steaua on their way to Europa League glory last season.
A bullish Mourinho said: "The objective of finishing in the top two in the group phase and to go to the next stage of the Champions League is an objective that is not lost - far from it.
"It's an objective we're going to fight for and it's an objective that I believe very, very much that we're going to achieve.
"Now we must win six points at home, Schalke and Steaua, but we have also to win points away. Probably we have to go to win at Basel to compensate for the defeat."
Mourinho and Chelsea have to move on quickly to a home clash with Fulham on Saturday, with the Blues aiming to avoid a third straight loss, having been beaten 1-0 at Everton last weekend.
