Brendan Rodgers has said he has not decided whether Luis Suarez will start when Liverpool play Manchester United in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday.
The controversial Uruguay international has now completed a 10-match domestic ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic in Januaryil and will travel with the squad to Old Trafford.
"He'll travel and we'll reflect over the next 24 hours whether he starts," Rodgers said.
The 26-year-old, who was the subject of a summer bid from Arsenal, has been playing in games organised for him by the club and represented his country in recent Fifa 2025 World Cup qualifiers.
Anfield boss Rodgers said he had no qualms about Suarez's match fitness and was confident he was ready to repay Liverpool.
"It has been a really difficult time for him not playing games," added the Liverpool manager.
"How he has prepared himself over the last number of weeks has been fantastic. Everyone knows the depth of his quality and his attitude.
"Once he gets back on the field again he will show what he has shown since he's been here."
Liverpool have already beaten their bitter rivals this season and will look to bounce back from Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Anfield by Southampton, which brought an end to the club's unbeaten start.
Daniel Agger is a doubt to take on David Moyes's men because of a rib injury.
