Joe Hart is set to remain on the sidelines at Manchester City despite his return to form for England earlier this week.
The Blues' shot-stopper hasn't played for Manuel Pellegrini's team since his last-minute howler gifted Chelsea a victory on 27th January.
Hart has impressed the City backroom staff with his willingness to keep his head down and has stayed behind regularly for extra training sessions.
The 26-year-old made a number of key saves at Wembley on Tuesday night against Germany, as England eventually ran out 1-0 losers.
But Pellegrini remains unconvinced about Hart's decision-making and feels he needs a longer spell out of the Premier League spotlight.
It was always his intention to keep faith with Romanian understudy Costel Pantilimon for Sunday's huge home clash with Tottenham Hotspur. Manchester City are available at6/4to keep a clean sheet against Spurs and are8/1to win the match 2-0.
Hart, however, could earn a surprise reprieve, next week, in the Champions League against Viktoria Plzen, with City having already qualified for the next stage. Manchester City can be backed at16/1to win the Champions League outright this season.
